Allow me to introduce Dick Byrne ...

Dick, who as I am quite sure most of you are aware write's a regular column in Galway Memories and is no stranger to the printed word having been a Galway newspaper columnist for over twenty years.
His first column was called As I roved out and was carried in THE CONNACHT SENTINEL from 1963 -65.
His column There ye are again ran in THE GALWAY ADVERTISER from 1970 until 1985.
His column Under My Hat ran in the Connacht Tribune from 1002 until 2009.
He has a monthly column; Behind the wheel, In the car magazine, THE IRISH VINTAGE SCENE.
He spent many years working in Taibhdhearc na Gaillimhe as an actor, director, and playwright. While there, he wrote over 29 plays, pantomimes, and stage presentations. He is best known there for his Irish Music Programme Seoda.
He wrote the play Auld Dacency, which was performed by the Abbey Theatre Company.
His Play Dance of the Dinosaurs was a feature play in the Galway Arts Festival in 1996
His play Do you remember sweet Alice? was featured in the Project ‘06 theatre fringe festival alongside the Galway Arts Festival.
He has published 4 books, Home for the races, Tell ‘em who you are, and with Derek Biddulph and Peadar O Down ; Galway on the Bay. His E-book My Love Is On The Wind is currently available on Amazon.com for Kindle readers.
